    Problem with Rotel RB985 Amp.

Hopefully someone can help me out. I noticed today when I turned amp on the center red light stay lit for about 1 minute. I then noticed that my center speaker(HTM 62) woofers are pulsating even when no sound is being fed the speaker. I do get sound emitting from the speaker; however I'm concerned about this pulsation going on with the speaker.

I hooked this speaker to the receiver in my bedroom and it did not exhibit this pulsating movement. Can anyone shed some light as to what the problem may be.

    Thanks

I would see if another speaker does the same thing on the center channel output. And then I would swap the center and right RCA cables to see if the problem stays with the center amp. Try to narrow it down to the amp.

        Can anybody help please.

Is it possible to use one channel only on a 985 Mk2 to power a center back speaker from a 1066. I tried this today and had to turn the amp off quickly because of a horrible loud buzzing sound from the center back speaker.
I connected the pre out CB1 on...

        Thanks in advance!

Since I have some Rotel gear, I'm always hearing how good B&W speakers are. Could you guys recommend a specific B&W center, or a solid older B&W option?

I'm looking for a transparent center channel speaker to complement my system. My front...

I had first asked this question in another discussion, but felt it best to start a thread here, as it may also hold interest to others.

I currently have a compromise/mis-match using an HTM1 center channel speaker along with 803D fronts. I'm having a real hard time justifying the cost...
