H/K receiver as processor and Rotel Amp.

Sience we don´t know the exact date Rotel will relesase thier new equipment line to the public, i´m thinkin about getting a new H/K AVR-247 and use it as processor while waiting for the real one from Rotel. It´s an inexpensive solution and the 247 have a lot of features compared to other receivers at that price plus i´ve always liked the way H/K sounds.
What do you think ? Has somebody done this already ?

The RSX-1058 is shipping any day now. Rotel is taking orders now and that means they are ready to start shipping. I just received the launch letter and they will be in stores very soon.

I used an HK AVR-510 with a Rotel RB-990BX a while back. There was a significant improvement when I switched to my RSX-1056.

I'd say be patient, or try to snag an older... better quality pre/pro for temporary use.

The RSX-1058 is shipping now so that would be the one to look at.

I don't understand how a product could be shipping and there is no mention of it on Rotel's website.

They have in the past had info about upcoming products. This way they could drum up some interest prior to the release date instead of us drooling and hoping with no REAL info.

My dealer says they are supposedly coming in at the end of this month.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm a dealer and just talked to Rotel today. They have shipped them in silver.

I hope you're right. I still say I'll believe it when I see it. But more to the point, don't they have SOMEBODY that could update the damn website?

The web site is going to have an overhaul very soon. They are changing the look and layout to a format that looks like their lit. I would guess the RSX-1058 will be on the site when the change takes place. I don't have an exact date on the change, we were told before the end of the month.
