    Power modes: Direct / Stand By / Always On?

    Hello All,

    First, forgive me I went to public school. How do I cut the RSP-976 off?

    DIRECT-the unit stays on
    Stand By-the unit will not come on
    Always On-is always on
    June

      Sounds like the power switch is broken. The first two just apply when the power comesback on (or you plug it in)

      Direct the unit will turn on when power is applied, but the remote or switch should be able to turn it off/on.

      Standby the unit goes into standby when power is applied, but again the remote or switch should be able to turn it on/off.

      Always on the unit turns on when power is applied, but the switch or remote will not turn it off.

          last night we had havy lightning, so i took all my equipment out of the power outlet. this morning put everything back in.

          all ok, only my ssp-300 does nothing. dead.

          the standby led does not switch on or anything.

          when i switch the unit to off at the back...

          hi Guys

          my much cared for Rotel rsp1066 which gets minimal use now wont switch on via the ON button on the supplied remote, I need to switch it on manually. Further when I update the OSD with Input names and switch the unit off, the names disappear. This never used to happen..
