    RVE-1060 Setup

Looking at the RVE-1060 manual online, I'm not sure if you end up with only four video inputs if you link it to the 1098 or 1068? Is it mandatory to use Input 4 to pass through the 1098 OSD or can you just hook it up and rely only on th TFT on the 1098? Just realised I need 5 inputs (PS3, Cable, PC, DVD and VCR) to be passed...

You need to use the video-4 composite or svideo, but those video ports can be assigned to any of the inputs.

IE I have a 5 video sources, but also have the OSD output connected.

    Input 1=component 1
    input 2=component 2
    input 3=component 3
    input 4=s-video 1
    input 5=s-video 2

S-video 4 port is connected for OSD, but is not one of the active video ports used in scaling. Even if you had 1 component and 4 video feeds, you're still only going to use either composite or svideo on video 4, so the opposite can be for OSD.

That said, yes you can still just use the TFT for OSD.

        RSP-1068 - Can I switch video input "on-the-fly"?
        by Blindamood
Does anyone know of a way (via the remote) to switch the current video input without first going to the OSD?

For example, while I'm listening to SACD/DVD-Audio, I'm using the Ext mode (multi-channel analogs). I have set this--via the OSD--to show Video2 (HDTV) by default; however, I...

        RSP-1068 video quality problems
        by hired goon
        G'day,

I think the video handling of my Rotel RSP-1068 pre/pro is acting up,

I've got an old TV, which only accepts composite input, and is non-progressive. I've got a set-top box connected via composite to Video 1, a VCR connected via composite to Video 3, and a DVD connected...

Key Sequence for OSD menus on 1056?
        by fvoelling
        Hi,

I just got a 1056 and have it hooked up via component to a front projector. Video inputs are component (from DVD and X-box) as well. When I press "Menu", nothing happens (on the screen), and it says in the manual that you need to tell the 1056 if you are using progressive...

Video conversion on RSP 1098 pb ?
        by mk
I have trouble with the conversion possibilities of the RSP 1098.
I connected a Satellite decoder to the RSP via a SVideo (mini DIN Cable) . I then use a SVideo link from "Monitor OUT Svideo" to a HT 1000 Projector, it works fine ..no conversion.

I want to try now the...
