    RSP 1098 Black TFT screen

    Hi,
Hi have recently got a black TFT screen. I can not see the osd screen. I have tried to default the factory settings without any success.
Has anybody had this problem before and what is the soultion to get the tft screen back. I suspect it could be a fuse but not sure if there are any for the screen.

Is it on and not showing anything or is it completely off?

If you can get to the OSD on your TV, go into the setup menu and DISPLAY options. Make sure the OSD output is set to SCREEN+Mon, and the TFT screen is not set to OFF.

Perhaps your 1098 has the issue mine had (defective video board):

            Could be bad relays also

My TFT came back alive after Rotel replaced a few "bad" relays and upgraded some capacitors. The process took about three weeks included the shipping time from (US) coast to coast.

              TFT screen to compliment RSP-1068
              by Jamil
Anyone know of a good TFT screen to hookup to RSP-1068 (similar to the panel which is built into 1098) to access OSD and make audio adjustments a lot easier. I am thinking it will have to be connected via S-video. You can tell I do not have the video aspect of the a/v incorporated in the mix at this...

              TFT Screen Composite Input Workaround?
              by Ethek
I just purchased a RSP-1098 and discovered to my dismay, that my DVD player (Sony DVPNS999ES) only outputs to one video connection at a time, i.e. if cables are attached to the component video out (to the monitor) and composite video out (to the RSP), the 999ES defaults to the component only. The other...

RSP 1098 TFT Screen Is Useful
              by gostan
The TFT screen on the 1098 is more than just a pretty face. For the first time I can monitor the various inputs and settings without using my main hd monitor. Also, when I am listening to music I can have the news or weather on the 1098 screen and cut in if I so desire. Anybody else have any thoughts...

              RSP=1098 TFT screen quality
              by Tom Bombadil
              Hi there,

Does anyone have any concerns with the TFT screen on the 1098?

Mine appears very patchy with light spill around the edges when blank. and compared to my Samsung 18" TFT it seems excessive. When displaying a picture I don't have any issues with the picture...
