    RMB-1075 Maintenance?

What kind of maintenance, if any, is required on an amp like the RMB-1075? On amps like this do fuses or anything else have to be changed or do they pretty much run forever if not abused.

Also, will it hurt it to only run two speakers through it in the beginning while the rest are being saved up for?

    Thanks.

Fuses only need to be changed when the blow. :W

No known problems when running only 2 speakers. Bi-amp them if you like. :T

Yeah, but how long do fuses in these last? Indefinitely?

I imagine fuses get weaker over time, but it's usually after 10-15 years that I see issues from it.

Until it blows really. Depends if you encounter a lot of power spikes.

You may have moved up to a better system before anything happens to the fuse. having the unit in storage for a very long time before use can at times blow the fuse.

              RMB1075 channel dead
              by JP
Hey guys, so this has happened in the past. ( I drop an RCA cable and it falls on the positive/negative speaker terminals, I curse myself and then replace the fuse kinda thing) This time though, no such easy resolution. I come back from vacation just 2 days ago. The power had gone out a few days earlier,...

              RB-1080 fuse fix details
              by michaelb
              Hi,

does someone know more details about the RB-1080
fuse "fix"? As far as I understood the 4 Amp-PS fuses
will be changed from 6.3A to 8A together with some
              Resistors and Caps.

              Which Resistors, which caps, values?

              It seems...

Question about adding a second amp to my RMB1075
              by nash
I've currently got an RMB1075 and an RSP1066 with Definitive Technology speakers. I've ordered some new towers for the main L/R (Def Tech 7001SC's) which should be a considerable upgrade from my current towers (Def Tech ProTower 400's). I am going to move my ProTower 400's to the rear.
