    What's up with Rotel ?

    I'm new to this site and there is some great info here :T

    Anyways I have recently ordered a RCC1055, RC1070 & RT1084. I have just been told that the RCC1055 will not be available until April. Rotel is changing this unit to accept MP3 so I am told and the dealer is offering me a "B" unit being that is all that is available at this time.

    Should I take the B unit ? Or should I wait ?

      Wait.....they pulled the 1055 from production because of a less than satisfactory defect rate (due to a unreliable pickup mech.). They decided to hold production until they remedied the problem.

      Our Equity account manager was in the store yesterday and confirmed some nice new products this year from Rotel.

      Rotel is on top of things and still make some of the best price/performance products out there. They also have the best support structure in place.

          I currently own a Rotel RC-1070 pre, RB-1070 am, RCC1055 changer & B&W 804N and ASW800 sub. For those who have upgraded to RC-1090 pre was it a sonic improvement? Same question for those who upgraded to RB-1080 amp (would consider RB-1090 amp but current shelf above 55" Mitsu won't handle...
