    My Amplifier Blew Up

JUST KIDING GUYS !!!!!, lol im happy to announce that i just recieved my rotel rcd-1072, what an improvement in sound and dept not to mention clarity, im listening to the paco de lucia san francisco in hdcd, and what detail this player gives..., soundstage is much more defined, i feel more as in the guitar is real or alive as we may save, not to mention mechanisim is fast and smooth, the quietness of this player is spectacular, next step some cat interconnects and speaker cables!

To most of us with the 1072, it does improve a bit over the first 200 hours or so. Of course, you may get a reply from those that believe this is impossible. Let us know what you find.

Yes. It will sound better with time. I also left is on all the time, I left my entire setup on all the time. Only now do I turn off my pre since it's a tube pre.

            Pioneer DV-59 AVi DVD player
            by Azeke
            Hello everyone,

I have just purchased the Pioneer DV-59 DVD player, which plays both SACD's and DVD-A's, quite a beast (upgraditis strikes again). However it seems I can't provide much feedback, my Rotel RB-1080 blew it fuses (for the second time) and is currently in the shop. I digress....

            Just blew up my RA-971!
            by Pwoida
It would appear that my Rotel RA-971 MkII does not like electrostatic speakers. I was driving it pretty hard into a DIY ESL which it had handled well before. Two fuses near the power supply blew as has happened a couple of times before, so I replaced them. Then I turned it on again and even with no...

Linn Amp blew my Rotel Away!
            by bluesfan
My mate's just bought a Linn 5103/5125. It blew my 1068/1075 away for clarity and even bass. Slightly gutted as I thought I'd found a good amp in Rotel. No fan noise and doesn't seem to get hot either. Dare I say it a remarkable piece of electrical engineerig.

            Still he had to buy...

            Lexicon Blues (Blew up)
            by misterdoggy
I was watching Sat Tv when I hear this noise that sounds like a rock hitting the windsheild of my car.

I'm thinkin one of the Glass shelves holding the htm2d or fpb400cx has cracked, but it was the Lexicon 12b blew up !!

Something in the power supply. I may not have had...

Blew both tweeters on my Monitor Audio Silver RS-6... what to do now? :(
            by fjhuerta
            It had to happen someday...

Someone moved my preamp slightly on my rack, and both output cables were ungrounded. When I turned on the amp... well... you know...

Bottom line is, I burned out - blew both tweeters.

I removed the tweeters today. By what I saw...
