    RLC-900 questions

Hi Rotel experts- I am running out of A/C socket space (already daisy-chaining cheap surge strips) and my newly added subwoofer has a noticable hum I am thinking is a ground loop issue. These have led me to consider picking up an RLC-900 which I know will solve the outlet mess and hopefully the sub hum. Any folks have experience with this unit? Should it solve the hum issue?

Also, from reading comments it looks like I might want to still have my 1056 plugged directly into the wall (I do now, compounding the outlet shortage)- is this the case?

    Thanks.

I run everything through my RLC-900 and don't have any sound degradation.. It's most likely not going to help with your hum issues though.

Is the sub plugged into a different outlet then the rest of your system? If it's a three-prong power plug on the sub, you can try a 3-2 adapter to start narrowing down the hum.

      Weird hum problem with 1068
      by Pez
Finally got my 1068 last night and hooked it up, unfortunately there was a pronounced hum coming from all the speakers.

Here is where it gets strange. The outlet I was using was the same outlet I was using with previous equipment and there was no hum then. In fact, the outlet itself...

Ground Loop Hum and the RSP-1066
      by Daymond
Just got a 1066 and I am having a problem with what I think is Ground Loop Hum. I have the unit hooked up to a Monster PowerCenter HTS-3500MkII which is plugged in to a grounded outlet with all of my other components. I then disconnected the other components leaving only this processor plugged in along...

      by Dotay
I purchased a Behringer EP1500 amp a couple months ago to run my 15" Avalanche sub but I haven't actually played it since my sub wasn't done yet. I had planned on changing out the fan with a quieter one but it turns out it had a different connector than the one I had bought. Refer to this thre...

      Rotel 1068/1075 low level hum
      by Boone38
Hello all, I have read this before and do not remember the answer. I just bought a new 1068 and 1075. I have the B & W 601.3 with a Velodyne HGX12 sub.
Everything that I can tell is hooked up correctly. Problem is that I have a low
hum out of both channels. Not out of the center. When...

System Hum from Tuner, Help! (I need somebody! Not just anybody?)
      by nayr
I got a Rotel RT-850A tuner recently. At first I didn't notice, but whenever it is plugged in it causes a hum in my system that is quite annoying. :x If I unplug the RCA connections, the hum goes away! It doesn't have to be on the tuner input, and even if the volume is at zero, the hum is still there....
