Anyone use power conditioners with their gear ? Do you think they're overpriced or even worth it ?
I heard amps should be plugged directly to the wall instead of these pwr. conditioners. Any reason why ?

I looked at the specs on both the RLC1040/1080 and the pictures shows that the RLC1040 has conditioned in/outlet for either phone line or ethernet line. I'm more interested in the conditioning for the ethernet cable, but the specs state that only the RLC1080 has the ability to condition ethernet cables....23 November 2006, 21:45 Thursday -

My dealer was kind enough (I think) to lend me some Transparent power connectors...when I connected them in place of my OEM cables, I think... -

I've been wondering as of late as to the effectiveness of power conditioners for home theatre equipment. For me it would be for my Receiver, DVD player tape deck, VCR, Sub and TV. I wonder though, are these AC line conditioners really much better than a $50 computer surge protector.... -
I just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the Furman M-8 series power conditioners. PE has a sale on them, and I wonder if one of them would be a good alternative to the pricier Furman, Belkin or other conditioners.
