i am currently having problem with volume control not working unless fade to black or off and then works 1 time and then you have to fade to black. this doesnt allow for minor changes without getting up and making changes at the 1067. does this mean getting close to the end after 9 months?

A few quick thoughts not in any particular order:
1) Change the battery.
2) Are there any RF devices around?
3) Wireless phones and associated devices?
4) Any obstructions in the line of site?
4) Reset and reprogram the remote.

Recently, my RR1050 remote has displayed "FRQ DIR" and no buttons work. I tried pressing the reset, preload and clear buttons, but only the reset seems to do anything. The LCD screen flashes, but the same message keeps coming up. Has anyone encountered this? Any suggestions? -
