    RSX 1055 IR Sensitivity issue

    This is a weird one,

My RSX 1055 is only responding to IR intermittently.

I use direct IR from a pronto, passive IR through powermids and Xantech emitters which are controlled through a Smarthome serial IR device through my PC. Everything has worked flawlessly for two years+. These IR systems control the whole rack and everything still works, except my beloved Rotel.

I will add that nothing has changed or been moved and everything has been checked.

The Rotel needs to see 3,4 or 5 IR xmit before it responds.

    HELP!!!!

Haven't tried that yet, it's difficult to access the back. Weekend project (need to dust back there anyway). If it works with direct input (through the rear ports) I would believe the IR RX (up front) to be bad. If it is still intermittent, I would believe the IR processor to be bad.

      Thoughts??

That would be my deductions as well. If it's out of warranty, I hope the rear jack works.

          HELP - RDV-995 / RSX-1055 Component Video
          by dmcgowan
I lashed out today and brought home a 42" Plasma

Rearrange the room, new cables connected, etc etc and everything works fine except for using the RSX-1055 to switch component video from the RDV-995.

I can direct connect the RDV-995 to the Plasma and get...

          by BrownDog
Hi all - I'm new to this and sure could use some 'expert' help with an issue with my Rotel RSX 1055. When I turn on the receiver, a loud popping sound comes through the speakers. Afterwards, there is no volume heard only a very slight hum. Any ideas?? Thanks!

          Loss of center channel (RSX-1055)
          by rotel&energy
Recently, I've had some problems with the center channel of my
RSX-1055 (completely up-to-date firmware). When I run a test tone through each speaker in my system (5.1), all of the speakers sound normal except the center channel. I have to raise the volume on the 1055 to 70+ in order to hear...

RSX 1055 vs. NAD at 4 ohms
          by jr62
I recently bought a set of Totem speakers (Arros at the front, Mite-T at center, and Dreamcatchers for surrounds), all of which have a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. I'm inclined to purchase the RSX 1055, however, I'm worried about the back panel's suggestion of an 8 ohm minimum for speakers. Does this...
