Home Theatre Bypass for RC-1070 Preamp

    Hi,
I am just wondering if Rotel have plans for a Home Theatre Bypass function for the next version of the RC-1070 Preamp. I am wanting a preamp with this function as I believe it the best way I can integrate HT with 2 channel listening that will keep my finance manager happy as well as myself. Also, the RC-1090 doesnt fit into my budget restraints that the loving Finance Manager has imposed.

I wrote to Rotel a while back inquiring about the RC-1090 replacement, and if they considered HT bypass. (I believe about 6 months ago). The reply I received said they were not considering making this option available on their new stereo pres. This is too bad as many people want this feature.

If adding another "switch" to the audio chain does not bother you, it is easy enough to get ahold of a quality 12v dpdt relay and make an external one using the 12v trigger. You can even get a hobby box and with a little time invested keep it somewhat professional looking. Rotels 12v triggers are 200ma wich is capable of driving lots of gadgets.

        Hi all,
I recently had a new home threatre installed which consists of my current Onkyo 787 receiver acting as a processor and new Rotel RMB-1075 and RB-1070 providing the amplification for a 7.1 setup (which sounds fantasic btw). The problem being that my Onkyo doesn't have a 12 volt trigger...

        Hello all,

Have been lurking through various HT forums for some time but new to Club Rotel. I have learnt much and have improved my system greatly with the advice I've learnt. However, I am looking to upgrade within a limited budget, and a limited physical space and wish some advice....

        RC1070 or RC995 matched w/ RB991
        by luszer
Interested if anyone has an RB1080 or 991 teamed up with either RC1070 or older pre-amp such as RC995. In doing research, a used RC955 costs about same as a new RC1070. Wait are the differences and sonic characters on either pre-amp? Any info greatly appreciated. Tyring to make a hard decision on investing...

        Q re Pre-amp sections of RA1062 and RC1070
        by ds22030
I am disassembling my HT system and going back to a receiver for HT. I am using the various components (including my main speakers and RB-1080) for a separate 2-channel music system....this means I need a good 2 channel pre-amp.

Does anyone know if the pre-amp sections of RA1062 and...
