So I received my new Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD Player today and I'm trying to hook it up via the analog inputs but I'm not getting any sound. I have Video1 on my Rotel RSX-1057 receiver set to Analog (Is there anything else that needs to be set?) but I didn't see anything on the Toshiba to set it to analog in. I can get Digital Coax working without a problem just not Analog. Any ideas??

Today the digital inputs (coaxial) on my 2 month old RSP-1570 started to output a loud sort of white noise. I at first beleived it was the cable box but switched to the DVD input and the same noise occurred. The analog inputs work as usual.

did a search and saw that this question was asked before, but never really answered. Does a signal going to the 1066 analog inputs (not the multi-channel inputs) remain pure analog all the way though, or is it re-digitized by the processor, as is the case with many HT receivers?
