Finally got my 1090...8)

Yup yup..... after 2 years worth of minor setbacks that prevented me from completing sale on 4 different RB1090 amps, I am happy to say that I finally picked up my 1090!

I have it unpacked in the living room on the floor underneath the stand that has RB1070.... wow.. the 1090 is definitely a BEAST! I've heard the 1090 vs the 1070 powering Summits, and the 1090 is a large step up in fidelity. No more compression, no more loss in dynamics...

I will post pictures and impressions soon...

I wont be selling the 1070 for a week or two, so I can do a thorough comparison between the 2 and post my impressions here.

COngrats! I have 2 of them and have not heard anything outthere that can compare for the price. The 10,000 dollar amps sound better but not 8,000 dollars better. you're going to love it for many years, i know i have.

It's going to be the last piece of my gear that I change..and them i'm going to relegate it to the HT system till it dies...and I will miss it.

I really dont know where to put my beast... my 90lb beast..

All I know is that I sold my 1070 just now so I'm pretty much left with no choice but to relegate all my Summit use to the 1090.... man, and I wanted to do more A/B-ing!

Try 2 cinder blocks or a milk crate. :T

I am using the S-40, and the 1090 fills the bottom half of the rack quite nicely.
