    Volume level.

    Hi guy's

I just can't find my SLP meter to see what db my Rotel RSX1057 measures with the volume at around 65-70. I got everything set as my old RSP1066 since i couldn't find my SLP meter.

Anyways, when listening to music around 70 what do you guy's get on your SLP meter. I sit about 10 feet from the listening area, and YES i know everyones reading will be different. But i need a ball park estimate with the db.

I watched GLADIATOR the other night in DTS 5.1 with the volume around 67 on my RSX1057. It was very loud. I just couldn't measure how many db it played around at that volume.

If you guy's can tell me the ball park db reading with volume around 65-70 that would be great till i go pick another SLP from Radio shack.

    Cheers,

PS. My speaker levels are not that high.

    Front left +1
    Front right +1
    Center 0
    Surround left +3
    Surround right +3
    Sub +1

    Sub cross over 80hz
    front speakers at 60hz
    center 80hz
    surrounds 80hz

    All speakers set at small.

These where the settings in my RSP 1066 with the SLP meter. So i set them same for the rsx 1057 but things look like changed.

        Calibrating your speakers
        by ajpoe
I have kind of a unique question because I don't use a .1 sub. I have a powered sub on each of my front L & R and rear L & R so I have 4 full range channels for movies and 2 full range channels for music. I have my center set as small at 80 hz.

I had my system calibrated based...

Hey guys, new to the club..lots of great info on here!

Just an observation after my upgrade from 1.37 to 1.50.

I had my speakers calibrated to about 75dB with the volume setting at 61 on the Rotel using the internal test tone. Now, after the update, the volume setting...

        Hi guy's

Just got the RSX 1057 on Saturday. Had a chance to play around with it all day today. Well first off, the 1057 replaced my 3 year old RSP 1066 as a Pre/pro. I have the RSX 1057 hooked up to my RMB 1075. I just have the front 2 channels running out of the 1075 and have the center...

Correct Me If I Am Wrong

It is my assumption that a subwoofer's job is to handle the low frequencies.I have 2 identical subs.About a week ago I was near the subs when a movie was playing and heard some metalic clicking or bottoming out of one sub.The settings are set exactly the same on each sub and are both setup using a slp...

        RSP-1069 question.
        by Opus007
I read this in the manual and not sure what it means.Does this mean that when multi channel mode is selected there is no LFE Chanel?I am auditioning the 1069 and seem to be having a problem getting bass to subs. When I use a slp meter to configuer there is little bass coming through the subs.Thanks.I...
