Rotel and 5.1 analog input Bass MGMT

Hi,

Do Rotel offer any bass management for the 5.1 input for DVD-A/SACD followers? Seems to me that the bass redirect feature is not really a true method of bass management. Anybody recommend a preamp/processor that has this fuction?

You are right, all Rotel processors have a straight 5.1 input, so no digital processing is done.

The bass management offers a copy of the bass of the main channels to the sub. This can be switched off in the menu in case of the 1068 and 1098. But that is it. No tone controls either on the 5.1 input. As clean as possible.

And that is what most people want. Let the bass management be handled by you SACD player.

Since I have all large speakers around, the 5.1 pass through is exactly what I want.
