    1095 HUMMING W/ DIRECT TV

Thanks to everyone in this forum, I solved my original humming from my 1095 when I added a line conditioner. However, tonight I upgraded to Direct TV HD and the TV signal won't pass through the line conditioner I purchased. As a result, the installation specialist had to remove the line conditioner for me to get a TV signal and now the humming is back!!! Is there a different type of line conditioner I need to purchase? Please help with solutions....HD may not be worth the interference.

Do you have a grounding block on your coax cable coming in from the dish? If not they're only a couple of dollars and should fix your problem

I tried my old line conditioner I was using when I had cable (which worked great) but it would not pass the Direct TV signal through to the TV. As a result, my Direct TV picutre was black. I spoke to someone at Jensen who suggested a $500 composit ground loop breaker.

$500 8O Yikes lets first try the $3 coax grounding block first before spending that kind of money

            Hi Andrew,

            Is this your grounding block?

              Power Conditioner Suggestions for 1095
              by vsarathy
Could you guys offer me suggestions for power conditioners/surge protectors for my HT. Specifically, I intend to get a 1098/1095 and would like to connect them both to that unit. And, connecting the 1095 would, of course, require a conditioner with high-current ratings. BTW, what is the maximum current...

So I just purchased all new Rotel goodies recently. Hopefully with some background you guys can lend me hand. I purchased the 1098 along with the 1095 and my speakers are Klipsh Reference series...efficient but also quite revealing speakers. I had a Yamaha RX-V1400 receiver originally...no hum and then...

              Rotel RMB-1095 humming
              by ninja12
I have had my new amp, 1095, for about a month now. For the last two weeks, I have noticed after about 2 to 3 hours of solid playing, it will begin to hum which is very annoying when the quiet scenes are playing. I have switched outlets and I have run it through my power line conditioner (Monster...

              1095 Hum
              by rhoffman000
I'm a happy new owner of a 1095. Problem is that my cable line is introducing a pretty strong hum. I know it can be defeated with a 2-prong cheater plug, but I understand that this creates some concern for safety. I live in a NYC apartment, so it's unlikely I can really get the cable guys out here...
