RSX 1056 - recommended BW speakers?

HI , I was wondering what people would recommend for a home theatre/ hifi setup for use with the RSX-1056
I like the 704.705. and HTM7 but my room isn't very big and will the reciever be able to output enough power?
My other option would be using LCR 600, two 601 for the rears and some 603s for the front
    here's my room configuration:

    any ideas?

    thanks!

    Welcome Bob

That's a nice little picture but I think it could use a happy little tree in the corner  (Sorry I couldn't resist )

If you've got the funds stick with the 7 series. You could probably get away with all 705's or four 705's and the HTM7. Sticking with the smaller speakers will be easier for the 1056 to drive anyways and the size of the room doesn't require bigger speakers. The 1056 will be fine for the 705's and would still be adequate-good with the 704's. Then you just need a good sub (not from B&W) to fill in the bottom. For good B&M subs try Velodyne or Paradigm or the higher line JBL's. For good internet only subs try HSU or SVS. After that you can add a nice 2-channel amp and 703's as mains and move your 705's rearward for 7.1! :P

      Bob:

I have listened to the various 600 series speakers for years and recently upgraded to close-out CDM series speakers with 7's in front and 1's in rear. If you can afford it, go for the new 700 series as the sound is far superior to the 600's. I previously used a 1055 and it should be adequate to run four 705's. My new 1075-1098 combo definitely takes far less effort to power the B&W's. I do not know what you are using for a receiver now, but I suspect that the Rotel will sound better.

        Used B&W 800 series speakers
        by junior77blue
Well, I went to the dealer today to see what 'specials' they had in the 700 series (HTM7 specifically). But, before I made the investment I wanted to hear the 804s which they had heavily discounted, below the price of a discounted 703s.

I compared the 703s and 804s and the 804s were in...

        4x705s/HTM7 + DS6 or 4x705s/HTM7 + DS7 ??
        by c912039
        Hi,

Im looking at putting together a package of 4x 705s plus a HTM7 for 5.1 HT use. I would actually like to go 6.1 (I dont have enough space for 2 speakers on my rear wall), and so my first logical choice was to go for the DS7.

        601s vs the 705s?
        by BlazeMaster
Hi, all I currently have the 601s right now for my fronts with the LCR600 and am planning for a eventual upgrade to the 700 series within next 6 months and wanted some ideas. I know it's all going to come down to me listening to them and pick the one I like better. What's the different in sound between...

        LCR600 vs. HTM7?
        by BlazeMaster
Hi, I currently have a 600s 5.1 setup right now and been pretty happy with it so far. But I've noticed one thing about the setup when I watch movies, there seems to be alot of cabinet resonace coming from the speakers, especially the LCR600. Is there anything I can do to reduce it? I currently have...

        Next step a HTM7?
        by weijst
        Hi all!

After going nuts on the matter 705 / 805, I hope my next upgrade will be a little easier ...

I eventually decided to get the 705s. For harmonic resemblance I could (or should?) get the HTM7, since it's essentially a 705 on its side (or is it, there is a difference...
