    comparison RC 1070/RSX 1056

    Hello,

    Is there anyone who can tell me about the difference about the RC 1070 an the pre-amp stage of the RSX 1056?
    I find myself watching no movies at all lately, and listen in 2 ch. most of the time. I can sell my RSX 1056, and for that I can buy a RC 1070 and a RCD 1072. There has to be an improvement in 2 ch. listening for me.
    Also I save some space in the house getting rid of my center and surrounds, but that's not the main reason.

    Anyone?

          I have compared the RC-972 to the RSP-1068 in direct mode. The RC-972 and RC-1070 are closely related.

          I hardly found any sonical difference, apart from the noise level beiing lower on the 972.

          If you really want to go up, the RC-995 is the best Rotel made. The RC-1090 is also a good, but expensive upgrade.

              Have you any comparison on what improvement the RC-995 is over this?

                  I'm currently using the preamp output of RSX-1056 along with RB-1070 2-channel amp to power B&W 704s, which are connected by AudioQuest GR8 bi-wire cables. I'm wondering if I would get improvement in sound by driving the 704's HF driver with front channels of RSX-1056 and Mid/Bass driver with RB-1070....

                  I already have the 1056 and was decided on getting the 1070 to improve the 2ch SQ over the 1080 due to the posted problems with the 1080 - dont seem to exist with the 1070.
