    cable for firmware upgrade

    Hi,
    I am planning to upgrade firmware on my Rotel RSP-1068. I do not have the RJ45 to Db9 cable (may be, I have misplaced). Does anyone know where I can buy one? My dealer is quite far from my place and I want to do the upgrade myself.

      Rotel sells them for about $15 last I checked.

          How do I know if I have the latest firmware. I bought my 1056 at the end of Dec, 05.

              Hold down mute on the remote and let us know what shows up on the display. Unless your unit was sitting in the warehouse for a while, you probably have a newer version then the website.

                          Yeah, 1.2.2 was the last version that's online so you are set. Usually if a version is not available online, its only needed for slight differences in model manufacturing, not function.

                              First attempts for firmware upgrade.. not so successful..

                              I cannot get the HyperTerminal program (OS included version or Private Edition) to establish communications with the 1068.

                              I've followed the instructions to the letter.. Back panel power...

                              I apologize for putting you on the spot, but is there any word from Rotel on when they will be releasing the Firmware upgrade for the 1098.

                              It seems that there is a 1.5 beta version based on a previous post.
