    Hi ecthelion,

when you have your preferences on 2 channel you should go for a dedicated CD-Player first. The Rotel RCD 1072 is a really great Player which kicks every universal till double price of itself.

I had a Yamaha DVD-A SACD 2300 Player which had an official price about 1500€ but the RCD 1072 for 800€ played so much better, that I recognized myself listening my hybrid SACD on the Rotel.

Now I changed the DVD also to Rotel cause the picture was better than the Yamaha and it looked also better in my setup.

The best processor for the RB1090 should be the RC1090.
But you should try to listen a few at your local Rotel dealer.

2.0 (stereo) was also my goal. I use my system for music & DVD's.

I am using the RC-1090 preamp with the RB-1090 amp. The connection between pre-amp & amp is through an XLR balanced cable. I use the RCD-1072 CD players. The sound is excellent through B&W 802 s3's.

I highly recommend all of the compoents. The 1072 CD player is awesome for the $$$$

The Rotel RC-1090 goes great with the Rotel RB-1090 and I highly recommend it with Klipsch RF-7's.

I am running Rotel RC-1090, Rotel RB-1090, Rotel RCD-1072, and Klipsch RF-7 speakers. The synergy that this combo gives is STUNNING with a really big WOW FACTOR. I'm extremely pleased with this setup. You will be amazed this combo gives.

          Amp and PreAmp- which one?
          by sugarmedia
          Hi guys...

I've pretty much decided that I will go with the Martin Logan Aeon-i speakers and need a good amp and pre amp.

Can anyone give m some suggestions of what I can look for that will pair well with these?

My dealer suggested the following from Rotel:...

Rotel HT receiver and RCD-1072 users....

Sorry this is so long, but I want to paint an accurate picture.

A little over a month ago I purchased a RCD-1072 to add to my RSX-1055. Prior to the 1072, I had been using a roughly 15 year old Denon DCD-1520 which at the time was one of their top of the line CD players...this thing weighs...

Rotel RB1070 vs Rotel RB1090 review

I'm going to write a little bit about these 2 Rotel amps from my experience with both in my system at the same time.

          Setup:
          SqueezeBox3 -> Rotel RC1070 preamp -> Rotel RB1070/Rotel RB1090 -> Martin Logan Summits -> Joey's ears

          Build:

          Rotel RB 1080/RC1090/Turntable....Out standing!
          by rantzmar
I dont post much here, but just want to say I am very very pleased with the Rotel outfit 1080/1090 amp and preamp. And especially now if any one is looking for a very nice two channel system on the cheap this is one of the better ways to go. You may find both at Audiogon if you watch daily.

          Will a Marantz SR8500 power 700s?
          by Verinnal
Is anyone here using an SR8500 to drive B&W 700 series speakers. I'm going to be auditioning 600s and 700s this weekend based on stunning reviews and recommendations. I'd rather not disappoint myself and listen to the 700s if the 8500 won't be enough juice to make these sound good. The room will...
