    Amp and PreAmp- which one?

    Hi guys...

I've pretty much decided that I will go with the Martin Logan Aeon-i speakers and need a good amp and pre amp.

Can anyone give m some suggestions of what I can look for that will pair well with these?

My dealer suggested the following from Rotel:
    • RC1090 preamp
    • RB1080 power amp.
    • CDplayer 1072

Mark, I've moved this into Club Rotel as you'll get more related responses in that forum.

Excellent choices. The RC-1090 is a large improvement over the RC-1070.
:B It's all about the MUSIC!!!

          I have these Rotel:

          RC-1090
          RB-1090
          RCD-1072

I am most happy with mine. I listen to a bunch of stuff out there and this is what I decided on, when I didn't even have Rotel in mind but hearing it quickly sold me, even
when the salesman was trying to push Bryston on me when I liked the Rotel better and kept telling me but Rotel is just entry level for high-end. I really did not appreciate that from him! You have to make your own mind up. He was trying to push Bryston on me because they make more margins off of it than Rotel.

Making plans for a two-channel room upstairs. The speakers are going to be ML-TL's based on dlr's Chameleons, but with the newer SB Acoustics tweeter(as the old one is discontinued). I am considering what I am going to buy as Preamp/Amp. I am going to use my Pro-Ject Debut III(with a moving magnet...

Hey guys, please help me out here since I have been having this dilemma on which to choose.

I currently have the Bowers and Wilkins CM 5 (B&W). I am doing only a stereo 2 channel setup. So I am considering separates and am stuck between these choices.

The Importance of The Preamp To Bass Response
              by StevieB
I use separate components in my 2 channel setup (Preamp / Amp / Speakers).

I am wondering just how important is the Preamp to delivering good bass response compared to the other two components?

              Hey gang,

I'm getting ready to buy my first hi-fi system and could use a little advice from some of the more experienced audio enthusiasts.

The speakers I have chosen are: Martin Logan Aeon-i (4 ohms).

My dealer suggested the following from Rotel combination....
