New Rotel DVD player RDV-1092 question

I have a question for everyone out there. I came across this link that announced the new DVD player that will be announced shortly (http://www.ultimateavmag.com/news/090905cedia02) It states that "The RDV-1092 is Rotel's newest DVD, DVD-Audio, and CD player ($1800, January). It will also scale up to 1080p from its HDMI output." My question for everyone is can I still use my processor (which doesn't have HDMI) for sound while using this new DVD player and an HDTV with HDMI and get 1080p? I know HDMI carries audio and video but was wondering if it could just carry the video signal while I used a coaxial digital out to my processor for sound.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Yep, it will output the audio through the optical or coaxial connection as well as through the HDMI connection.
    Digital Audio makes me Happy.
