Anyone heard when Rotel may start shipping 1098s with Dolby Pro-Logic IIx from the factory? I'm ready to purchase, but I'd like to avoid the hassle of needing to upgrade right after my purchase, if I can. Now that the 1068 was introduced with DPLIIx from the factory, maybe the 1098 will follow soon? Thanks.

My guess is they probably already are. Where you might run into a problem is a dealer back-log of the older pre-DPLIIx units sitting around that don't have to be ordered in.... I'd ask your dealer to contact Rotel about ordering one and find out through him if they're shipping new ones with the upgrade or not. Otherwise, don't worry about it, order one and do the upgrade if necessary. Then sit back and enjoy

I'd like some of your opinions on the Halo and its implementation of DPLIIx. I'm looking at getting a C1 and I need to know what you think about IIx...and does it have the flexibility that others do, such as being layered onto 5.1DD/DTS or even DDEX and DTSES (Discrete) soundtracks....
