    Problem with Rotel remote control

    Folks,

    my 2 weeks old 1056 is giving me some problems. When I want to switch between CD and Video 1 or any other source I can't do it from my remote.
    I can still switch the sources by pressing "CD", "Tape" and etc. bottons on 1056.

    I already changed the battery in the remote, but it didn't help. "On/off", "Volume up/down" work fine on the remote, but not the source selector.

    Has anyone seen anything similar ?

      To select the source you want for playback you have to hold down the button for about a second. It will beep after it is selected.

      Pressing the button quickly only enables the custom controls for that device.

          Aphexist, you are the MAN. You were 100% correct, I just need to hold "CD" botton for 1 sec.
