    RDV-1040???

    What's the deal with this unit? I'm tempted by the 1060 but with this new mysterious 1040 due out soon...

    Why so many new DVD players from Rotel in such a short time? 1080, 1060, and now 1040. They don't seem like different "tiers" so much as replacements for eachother, no?

    Fingers crossed here...will the 1040 have DVI output?

      Before I bought my 1060 I got an email from Rotel about the 1040,according to them its like the 1060 ,but no DVD-A,they was something else,but I cant remember.But, the lack of DVD-A was the biggest diference.

          It doesn't have also progressive scan feature.

              Lexa........It might have been you I recieved the email from,I must have deleted it ,but I remember it was from someone in Europe.I tried to reply, but it wouldnt send to your email address.If it was you....thanks for the info

                  Ok.. Trying to decide on a new dvd player.. I know older panasonics and the new Denons would have better pictures than either of the Rotel's, but with my luck and the overall trend in DVD players I would rather take a 5yr warrenty and higher build quality than better picture..

                  This is my first post here.

                  My 2 year old just killed my ROTEL RDV 1060 couple days ago. She tought that my DVD player could drink Milk. 8O

                  Anyways went to my Rotel dealer on monday to pick up a new DVD player. They did not carry any more 1050...

                  ...has anyone noticed that when playing a CD in the 1050, when the skim left button is pressed, it first jumps ahead about 20 seconds in the song before starting to skim backwards? Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a unit that does NOT do this?
