Dear All,
I have just joined this forum today and this is actually my first message. I am a truly fortunate person having bought the following Rotel setup just two weeks ago
- RSP-1098
- RDV-1060
- RCD-1070
- RB-1080
- RMV-1075
- RLC-1050
I already owned:
- Toshiba 50WH18P (50" rear projection)
- Phonar 2x P40IIs (front speakers)
- Phoner 1x Centric IIs (center)
- Phonar 1x As1000 (subwoofer)
- Phonar 4x Bipol 1000 (surround)
- Audioquest Slate (2x 3 mtr, bi-wire)
- MonsterBass 400 (subwoofer cable)
- Monster 400 MKII interconnects
I hope you will agree that I am a fortunate person.
The purpose of this message comes next and pertains to the trigger connections made:
a. The RSP-1098 is connect to RLC-1050 socket 0 (alsways power)
b. All other Rotel components are on RLC-1050 sockets 1 to 4
c. Trigger 1 is connected from RSP-1098 to RLC-1050
d. Trigger 2 is connected from RSP-1098 to RDV-1060
e. Trigger 3 is connected from RSP-1098 to RCD-1070
For all sources on the RSP-1098 trigger 1 is activated, so when I switch on the RSP-1098 all Rotel components are powered up (thanks to trigger 1 and RLC-1050). FOr the other components the assignment is as follows:
DVD = 1+2
CD = 1+3
When the last source was set to DVD (trigger 2) before I powered down the RSP-1098, only the DVD will switch on (CD has power but is not switched on) as it is supposed to do when I next power up the RSP-1098.
Now when I switch the source to CD on the RSP-1098, the DVD switches off (thanks to trigger 3) and the CD player starts. So far this all works.
If I now switch off the RSP-1098 (while CD is selected as source) and switch it back on, both the DVD and CD player come on??? This looks like a start-up bug to me.
If I, when leaving the RSP-1098 on, switch to DVD the CD player switches off and when I subsequently switch to CD, the DVD player switches off.
Has anybody else also encountered this problem, found a solution?
Regards,
Olaf
