    No subwoofer on RSP1066.

    Hello,
When I connect my sub to de sub-out I have no sound out my subwoofer. It seems dead. I have my front's set to small, subwoofer to Yes in the menu.

The sub works fine on my old receiver, but on the rsp1066 it will not work.

I've bought the rsp1066 second hand. The previous owner has never used a sub woofer, so he can't help me.
The firmware is 2.2.6, the latest.

I've tryed everything in the menu's but I can't get it right.
    So, has anyone som suggestions?????

    Thanks.

Looks like it you've set it up right. You could either open it up and make sure everything looks connected right.

I would call Rotel, explain that the output was never used, and nicely ask if they could take a look at it as a warranty repair.

There are actually two sub inputs on the back of the 1066: Sub 1 and Sub 2. Make sure you have the input plugged into Sub 1.

They're connected to the same output, so 1 or 2 shouldn't matter. But perhaps only one of them is damaged.

          What's up everyone?
I recently aquired a used M&K sub woofer. It had a bad Phase switch which was causing it to pop. The person I got it from didn't want to get it fixed and decided to get a new woofer.
I took this subwoofer home, fixed the Switch and decided to add it into my system...

I auditioned JL Audio E110 sub and my questions about E110,E112,subwoofers in general
          by AwArEnEsS
I have listened to JL audio E110 at an audio shop, in another city. The reason why I want a sub is mostly feeling the sound at my body, gut especially , also hearing the lower frequencies which my speakers(or any other speaker) can't give.

When we arrived,I asked the sales person if we...

Hi, everyone. I'm considering a new project, and I'm looking for input.

          The Setup:
For nearly three years, my current subwoofer has been satisfying my every desire for plentiful, deep bass, no matter what the program material, yada yada. I'm very happy with it from a performance...

          RSP1066 always in 7.1 mode?
          by Scarp
          Hi,

I've got a 7.1 system hooked up to my RSP1066. I've set the front speakers to large because I dont want to use my sub in 2 channel mode. The surrounds and centre are all setup as being small. And I set the number of back speakers to 2.
When I play a Dolby Digital 5.1 encode...

HT setup with out the sub?
          by yourtoys7
Just wondering if any one has tryed or at least what they think of having no sub. I recently added 2ch amp. and set my fronts to large (while having sub off) and was pleasantly surpriced on how well it sounded.
Now wondering if front and back would be large speakers with proper amp.s and...
