Need help with sub settings for my 1068

    Hello,

I just bought a 1068 and 1075 combo and I am trying to play 2 channel stereo with my SACD player but my sub is still active, I have tried many ways to turn it off and it seems to me the only way is to go into sub settings and turn it off in the multi input option. Is there any way to have it automatically go off whenever I am on stereo only mode in my SACD?

    Thanks for any help ;x(

Just to be sure you have the SACD player connected via analog cables to the multi channel input right?

For your info SACD does not work in digital mode like u mention, DVDA and SACD (Direct Stream Digital) only works if you have the 6 analog output from ur player connected to ur multichannel input of ur processor.

I guess my question is still the same is there a way to get stereo only (without the sub) when I am listening to my SACD player without having to go in to sub setting menu in the OSD of my 1068. I am a newbie with this equipment so a detailed explanation would be greatly appreciated.

          Thanks

To listen to the high-res SACD track you have to connect it via analog cables. If you listen over the digital connection you're only listening to the low-res CD track. For listening to CD's over 2-ch-digital connection with no sub, just go in to the 1068 setup menu and select "No Sub" for 2-ch material. Otherwise, over the analog cables the bass management will be dependent on your players settings

More 1068 weirdness: No Sub Signal (except when set to "max")
              by InTheRed
OK, more weirdness from my new 1068. I can't seem to get a subwoofer signal at all unless I set it to "max" under the speaker settings. Under the subwoofer settings everything is set to 0db and it's crossing over at 100hz (changing these seems to make no diiference).

Been buying up a bunch of the best DVD-A's and SACD since I've got my new Marantz receiver (SR6005), but I am so freakin confused about all the audio formats!!! My seven year old receiver was a little Denon 2105, worked fine but I wanted HDMI and a better receiver. I took out my Denon 2900 SACD/DVD-A...

              Hello fellow tweakers,

I have two questions regarding bass management with the 1570:

              1) What is the purpose of the advanced speaker settings for the subwoofer? I am using advanced settings for all my speakers but have left the subwoofer setting at 80Hz because I have no...

I'm having a brain freeze... do the analog multi-channel inputs on the 1068 go through the bass management/crossover/delay processing? Under "MULTI Inputs" the manual says...

"These inputs bypass all digital processing in the RSP-1068 and are routed directly to the Volume...
