Its so small - 7x100 watts and only 2 inches high. Anyone had a chance to listen to one yet? I'm intrigued how it compares to say the RMB-1075?

It should be available very soon, but $2499 seems expensive relative to the 1075, unless it sounds better?

Many of these digital amplifiers cannot handle 4-ohm speakers. I hope this upcoming Rotel RMB-1077 will handle them, especially for its extremely prohibitive $2500 price tag...Comment

I wish there was more info. I assume that it gets fed line-level analog. I was wishing that it had digital inputs like the TaCT amps (but cheaper of course
). Hopefully, Rotel will spin this into a future receiver.

I was planning on using an RSX1057 as a processor with an RMB1077 hooked up to a pair of B&W 804s and a HTM3s. Orignally I thought I would biamp and biwire the L and R fronts using 4 channels of the RMB1077 while using the remaining 3 channels to drive the center and back surrounds.

Hi guys, ages ago I said I was keen to get a DEQX(digital equaliser and xover) for my Dynaudio Special 25's. Well now I've done that and biamped them using (at the moment) my Rotel Michi 200Wper channel power amp to the bass drivers and 2 of the 3 channels on my ROtel 993 power amp for the tweeters.... -

I was ready to pick up a sunfire cinema grand 200x5,when i ran accross a rotel rmb1077 costing a little more than the sunfire.The rotel i know is only 100 x 7 but how would it compare to the wattage of the sunfire.Reason i ask is that there seems to be a raving about the 1077 even though it's only 100watts.Does... -

Anyone first off know the release of the the 15 series? I'm also wondering about the RSX1560. It looks to have built in ICE class D digital amps built in. 7x100. Thats pretty cool. 4u rack space total. Thats also cool. I'm wondering how it would do in a 7 channel home theater...
