    Official Rotel Owner

Had to announce it here, just to make it official ... I'm now a Rotel owner!!

I just picked up my brand new RSX-1055 and RMB-1075 today. Initially I thought the wait was going to be until late October, as all the silver components were sold out. But somehow ... here they are!

Both were double boxed even. Each white Rotel box, inside its own brown cardboard Rotel box.

Included inside the 1055 box was the update cable. In addition, I've already done a quick check, and know that the latest firmware is already installed as well. The 1075 has the newer style, clear plastic coated binding posts. So everything is up to date with the latest and greatest!

I would like to thank everyone from Club Rotel who has helped me over the past couple months. I've asked a lot of questions, and I've received a lot of very valuable information. Thank you very much!

And now, let the show begin ... it's time to start setting things up!

Just curious why you got the RSX-1055 with the RMB-1075, rather than the RSP-1066?

    Regardless, welcome aboard! Enjoy it!

Was definitely a very thorough decision making process, and it came down to the 1055 over the 1066 for the following:

      - 1055 was a little less expensive
      - 1055 has a tuner, which I wanted
      - 1055 might be easier to sell, if/when I decide to upgrade
      - 1055 amps can be used for the rear surrounds, if/when I go that route

        Congrats Glenn!

I hope to be joining you soon. I might even get the same setup.

Getting a RMB-1095 for $1500CDN($1100US) with 4yr extended warranty is a bargain. 8O 8O . Glenn enjoy your new Rotel gear.

This may sound strange, but I REALLY get excited when someone gets new gear like you just did. It's like I feel the excitement vicariously. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

                              Hello all,

Have been lurking through various HT forums for some time but new to Club Rotel. I have learnt much and have improved my system greatly with the advice I've learnt. However, I am looking to upgrade within a limited budget, and a limited physical space and wish some advice....

I am looking to get into HT and with my budget, am limited to $1K for a receiver. That would mean an HK AVR525, Denon AVR2803/3803, or Onkyo SR800. the Rotel RSX1055 is slightly out of reach, but with the introduction of the 1098, I may be able to pick up a used one on Audiogon.com. OK Rotel owners,...

A question for the experts here. You folks have previously convinced me to look at purchasing a RSX1055 over a Denon AVR4802R.

In reviewing the Rotel RSX1055, I was curious of what I would gain if anything by getting a RSP1066/RMB0175 combo over the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo. Thanks in advance...

I had a chance to audition a Denon 2900 with the Rotel RSX1055. I was very impressed by red-book playback as well as SACD & DVD-A. I realized after returning the 1055 that the Denon had been set to output only 16 bit for DVD-A so when I listened via the coax cable I was not at full resolution. Can...
