Newbuyer, the options are endless, it could be components, circuit design, settings. I would highly doubt it is a multiple of 1 component difference.- Bottom

1)Why would it change your mind? I can see thousands of happy Rotel users posting about the joys of their systems. Why would his have any impact on your buying decisions.Originally posted by algaei WAS JUST READY TO PURCHASE ALL rOTEL EQUIPMENT BUT AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE ILL CHANGE MY MIND
2)How would his experiences translate to you? He's international, you're domestic. Don't you think that might have something to do with the level of service he received?
Yeah, I'm sure after pouring over technical documents and budgets you suddenly came to your senses after reading his thread. It'll only be great brands like Sony for you from now on!

FWIW, I purchase my 1068 for, at least now, 2-ch duty from Georgia Home Theater 18 months ago, and it's been flawless. Customer trade-in/factory recondition. Going receiver shopping with my boss (Pioneer Elite, Polk/DefTech with the trebble and bass turned to 11) just made my ears bleed.- Bottom

by BlazarAll the complaints I had about the rsp1098 in terms of the center channel dropping out and occasionally all 5 channels dropping out have dissapeared.
The rotel service fixed it, presumably by adding a bunch of shielding in between the video and audio parts of the gear.

by JesseRJHi to all. The 1095 is, I believe, over four years old. How often does Rotel replace its amps? Most other firms seem to do it much more often. If I were to buy a 1095, is there a chance it will be superseded in a short period (six months)? Thanks for any info.

by jrhHello everyone. I need your advice. I'm a new Rotel user...I purchased a 1056 Receiver July 25. I just got my system set up and unpacked the receiver, to find that one of the "doors" on one of the Optical Inputs was missing. The door is what locks the Optical cable into the receiver, so...-

by bassettIv'e had one of these for a while, supposed to be one of the best CD Players
Rotel ever made. And at the time I was very pleased with it. Then it started
to play up. Intermittant failure with "NO DISK" showing on the digital
readout screen. In the end nothing worked...-
