    Got a question.

Are Rotel processors like the rsp1098 and rsp1068 known for Digital popping? Do they use a muting circuit?

Coming from B&K , if anyone has experience with B&K , they don't use muting circuits. They didn't in there last 3 receivers or preamps. I believe the new s2 does but the Avr307 and Avr507 didn't.

The digital POP I will call can happen when a channel is changed on a DSS digital connected receiver or even sometimes on the new Digital cable HDTV Boxes.

    Thanks,

    Dan

    They are not supposed to.

There's been some discussion on this thread that the last batch of manufactured rotels have some snapping or popping, I think it's been isolated and resolved with the current shipment.

The 1098 uses relays, which are audible, however you'd hear the sound coming from the 1098, not from the speakers.
