    rsp1068 popping....

I have a problem with the 1068 that was supposed to be fixed.

It is popping, when I skip tracks or enter a menu on DVD.

I am wondering if any other rsp-1068/dvd-2900 (or 2200) experience the same problem. I have it connected via digital COAX.

I know the 1066 had this problem, but when I had one at home I cannot remember it popping as loud as my 1068. I happens when it loses signal temporarily. Like pressing "next" when playing a DVD.

what happens if you remove all the other components connected to the 1068 except the DVD player? Also have you tried an optical connection instead of the coax?

I will try optical, but I have it connected COAX because of the better way to connect digital. I won't go back to optical.

My Xbox is connected optical, I will try it out that way.

Isn't this popping a function of Rotels' auto source/sound parameter detect?

It would seem when ever the audio signal is lost for a moment, such as fast forwards, track skips, pause... this will occur because the Rotel will re establish (detect) the audio signal again..

I don't think using either the optical or Coax will not solve it as it seems to be a function of how the DSP operates.

I know mine certainly pops everytime I Fast Forward, Skip, pause..etc.
