    1055 remote question..

Sorry for not remembering my remote #, but I assume only one model comes w/it..

I used video II to learn my DVD players remote. Now when I press video II, it turns my DVD player on/off instead of changing the receiver to V2..

I never programmed that button for power, but I did program the power button under the slider for it.

Anyway is there something I missed? Even when I push Aud then Video 2 it doesn't select it..

Well yes there is two remote depending when you bought...

the RR-960 (I think) and the newer RR-1060...I got the newer since I bought mine a month ago.

As for the remote, Rotel suggest that you use the 2nd page for customs programming...

Your problem, is weird, and also, If I remember correctly, the V1 button is pre-programmed for DVD.

But for the problem you state???...I have no clue, My guess is that you made the remote learn on V2 to turn off your player...

Well there is a recet button under the slide panel, and I thing that if you hold it for a few seconds, it will recet to original setting...

after, that, when you re-progtam it, switch into "page 2" so the original settings will always be available

          Power button, settings, RSX-1055
          by Glenn
I have temporarily set-up my new RSX-1055 to make sure all is working correctly. It has the latest firmware.

The current set-up is 2 channel. Just the basics for right now. I went into the set-up menu and changed the front main channels to "large". I set all the rest to "none"....

          1055 - Stand-by Mode
          by Poul
Since purchasing the 1055 I occasionally have problems powering up the unit from stand-by mode. Pressing the POWER button on the remote has no effect and only works after powering down and up using the button on the 1055.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

          Regards

          1055 Sluggish IR Response
          by jeffst
I returned home from a 3 day trip and find that my new 1055 (v 2.24) is very slow to accept IR commands. i.e., the volume will not ramp when I hold down the volume UP/DOWN button. To change Video sources I often have to press a button 4 or 5 times. Control from the front panel of the receiver is fine....

Serious help needed for my 1055! Thanks in advance!

          :!:

I have the RSX-1055 and just noticed some very peculiar things:

          1. I was playing a standard CD music track (not a burned CD) and had Dolby Prologic II format running on the Rotel. What I noticed was the sound would cut in and out on the rear surround speakers. IS...
