    Problem w/my 1055

    Hello..

Was just told this forum existed Hopefully some of you here can be of some help..

I'm having a problem with one connection and have no clue why it isn't working properly..

The problem is w/my Cable sound.. its not working thru the receiver.

    Plugged into the Rotel:
Component Out- to TV Component input
    Video 1: Component 1/Analog 1 - PS2
Video 2: Component 2/Digital Coaxial 2- DVD player
Video 3: Digital Coaxial 3- Cable sound from Cable Box
Video out- TV Video in- to use online setup menu..

I've routed cable picture from Sat receiver straight to TV in using Svideo..and a set of rca cables for TV only sound..

When you first hit OSM it shows the current input selected and what its settings are. For my cable(Video 3) it shows analog as the input. If I then goto main menu and look at video3 setting it then shows coaxial 3.

My only guess is its looking for coaxial3 but not finding it, thus setting it to analog? or my digital cable isn't sending digital audio?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

        1098 video setup question
        by jimmyp58
I think I know the answer but just to be sure. I have two Sony M555ES 400 disc CD carousels. I will connect each of them to the 1098 via digital coaxial input. No problem here. The question I have is, each of them has a video out via composite that I currently connect to my HDTV; I wish to connect them...

Optical vs. Digital Coaxial AUDIO OUT
        by bambahtg9700
So my DVD player has both of these options for audio out. I'm sort of forced to use the Digital Coaxial over the Optical audio out because my receiver does not have any more Optical inputs left.

Is there any sound quality differences between the two? It seems like a digital coax would...

Digital coaxial cables = from CD to Reciever?
        by SPACEMANRICK
Please excuse my ignorance on this, a friend of mine said that I should buy a digital coaxial cable to connect my Denon CD player to my Denon 3805 receiver. Will this make much of a difference from the 2 (analog?) cables that came with my receiver in the sound coming out of my B&W 804 speakers?

Rotel 1066 component video setup problem
        by mattstacey
        Hi guys,

I just replaced my Denon 3802 with a Rotel 1066 yesterday, hooked up to a Rotel 1075 amp. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to it yet but so far it sounds awesome.

I have a problem with my video connections though. I had no problems with the Denon 3802 so...

Anyone else have this component video switching problem?
        by Ezgoin
        Hi all,
I'm a proud new owner of the RSP-1068/RMB1075 combo and while I'm still getting used to the controls, I'm experiencing a system power-up problem that I'm wondering if anyone else has had. I'm switching my HD cable box and DVD player component outputs through the 1068 and into the DTV...
