    Adding Outlaw M-200 beside RB-1080?

    Hi,
I currently have denon avr-3805 and RB-1080 for two front channels. I'm thinking of adding an Outlaw M-200 (monoblock 200 wpc) for the center channel and reserve all power in receiver for the rear.

Would it be a problem in sonic match? I don't have room for 7.1 so adding 5 channel amp is not an option.

    thanks.

    Hi,

The Outlaw amp is a nice amp but (IMO) not quite as transparent as the Rotels... That aside for HT you are not likely to notice given that there are usually greater differences anyway in the tonal characteristics of the Centre speaker and the Left and Right speakers... It will all come down to price though.. For example I looked at this and have just decided to get a second RB-1080 for my centre and bi-amp the centre (what the heck!) - not much more than a mono-block and a perfect visual and tonal match for the other RB-1080 I have!

How do you bi-amp the center? My center speaker has only one pair of binding post.

Audiofan if its only got one set of inputs you can't bi amp it. You could use the other channel to power a rear centre though in a 6.1 install.

Question about adding a second amp to my RMB1075
          by nash
I've currently got an RMB1075 and an RSP1066 with Definitive Technology speakers. I've ordered some new towers for the main L/R (Def Tech 7001SC's) which should be a considerable upgrade from my current towers (Def Tech ProTower 400's). I am going to move my ProTower 400's to the rear.

Connecting pre AND prepro to RB1080
          by hitek57
          Hi all,

As mentioned in my earlier post, I just added an RB1080 to power my front speakers. And the result is, in a word, WOW. Soundstaging, detail and bass oomph are much better than with my other, ageing power amps -- B&K ST2002 and Marantz M500 monoblocks.

          I have...

          rb1080 or rb1075
          by hitek57
          Hi all,

I have an rsp1066 and plan to upgrade my power amps. My use is probably 50/50 for HT and music. While I find the HT sound is great, I feel something lacking when it comes to music in stereo.

I'm thinking of getting an rb1080 for the front speakers and using my...

          Is a bi-amped Rb1080 as good Rb1090
          by carlsen
          I currently have a Rotel Rb1090 driving two Aussie mainspeakers ( Vaf I-93 Signatures ) and a Rotel RMB1095 driving the centre and 4 surrounds ( Vaf I-91's ).

I am awaiting delivery of a singular horizontal version of the mainspeakers ( I-93) to replace my current centre channel. Now,...

Question about adding an RB1080 to system
          by David L.
I currently have an RSP1068 and RMB1075. I will soon be adding an RB1080 to drive the front speakers instead of using the 1075 for this purpose.

My question is, will it harm the 1075 in any way by using it for the center and rear channels only and leaving the front channels disconnected?...
