    Sick RSX-1055 - Help?

    My 1055 is sick,

1- When listening to CDs by the CD analog input (left channel) makes loud popping noises (like saturation)... but using the TAPE analog input is OK.
2- Yesterday, when listening to CDs (from the TAPE input) I switched to TV listening via my PVR cable box (the main output hooked via the digital coax input) and could ear simultaneously the sound coming from the CD and the cable box... seems that my unit is badly sick, any similar experience? what is the bug?

    Pat,

I remember one old post about a similar issue with sound breaking through from one input to the other and the unit had become defective and needed repair... From memory the problem became worse over a few weeks. I'd take it to your dealer...

        Thanks for your recommendations

Effectively, Geoff, now I sometimes ear like if someones is playing with my speaker terminals while the system is playing (shorts pops) also in the Tape input. It's getting worse...

DJDREW, what do you mean by reset? Just unplug the unit for a short period of time? I will try that, but now it seems more and more like an hardware problem.

          Philips DVD963SA & rsx1055
          by Alfa
Recently purchased the Philips DVD963SA player to go with my RSX1055 receiver. I run my speakers as small on the receiver and was wondering if I should do the same in the DVD players setup for multi input?

Also I have noticed that when I change from the Co-ax input (receivers decoder),...

          Hello all,

Have been lurking through various HT forums for some time but new to Club Rotel. I have learnt much and have improved my system greatly with the advice I've learnt. However, I am looking to upgrade within a limited budget, and a limited physical space and wish some advice....

Yamaha DSP-A1 DVD input vs. tape 2 monitor...
          by STV_Keith
Hello. I recently acquired a Yamaha DSP-A1 to replace my aging DSP-A1000. The A1 has all the newer HT stuff that the A1000 didn't. I am using the digital coaxial from my DVD player for audio, and component video straight to the TV.

I also use the Tape 1 record out to go to my equalizer,...

Tape loop / record-out source select
          by Bob_Collins
Ok guys, I have a question to pose. Are there any Home Theater receivers or processors out that include the venerable, old “tape loop” function? I’m referring to the ability on older stereo equipment to select a source for recording out to the tape outputs, but still allow you to choose to listen...
