    Yamaha DSP-A1 DVD input vs. tape 2 monitor...

    Hello. I recently acquired a Yamaha DSP-A1 to replace my aging DSP-A1000. The A1 has all the newer HT stuff that the A1000 didn't. I am using the digital coaxial from my DVD player for audio, and component video straight to the TV.

    I also use the Tape 1 record out to go to my equalizer, then back in on the tape 2 playback channel and use the tape 2 monitor to use the "enhanced" signal.

    The problem that I ran into is that when playing a DVD, I cannot run the tape 2 monitor when the digital input is selected for the DVD input.

    Is there any way around this? Is there some other way I can connect the EQ such that it will always be useable?
