The receiver gives no out put when i put a signal trough my video 1 2 3 4 5 and tape , there is only a respond when i put it on cd.

Is your Rec Out selector set to the input you want to record, or set to "Source"?
It sounds like it is set to "CD".
If you set it to an input, such as "CD", it will output that input no matter what input source is currently selected/playing.
If you set it to "Source", it will output whatever source is currently selected.
Hope that's your only problem!
