Help - RSX-1055 Doesn't startup after firmwareupdate problems!

I tried updating my rotel 1055 with a diy-cable with the instructions in this forum this weekend. I didn't get it to work - I never recieved the textmenu in the terminalprogram when switching everything on.

I tried twiddling with the cables for a while, but I finally gave up and decided I would buy the upgradecable from rotel instead.

But now I can no longer start my reciever!

When I switch the power on on the rotel the red power indicator lights up as usual.... But when I try to switch the reciever on with the remote, nothing happens!! Does anyone know what could be wrong??

I have switched the pins back to their original position on the backside of the reciever, so that can't be it.. Please help! Thank you

Try and unplug the unit from the wall, leave it for a minute or 2, then see if it will power up to default (factory settings).

The operating system in your computer may have something to do with it also. I had problems with Windows XP, but my old laptop running Windows 98 was able to do the job. Do a search here for firmware update. You might find some of those threads.
