I was wondering how long the 1095 has been wandering around in the channel before i bought it (could have been on the shelves for 6 months with a distributor, or could have been unsold stock from the reseller for another 6 months. I would also like to find out what the different revisions of the 1095 are and whichs MODs (motherboard/component updates etc) cam with each versionComment

You can decipher the Mfr date with the serial number. The serial is 8 digits long. look at the first 2 digits and subtract 5, then look at the third digit and also subtract 5. This will give you the month and year of Mfr.
I know this works for JVC TVs...I am not sure if this is some sort of Industry standard that works across companies/brands?Comment

I recently got a brand new B&W 804s and noticed that that serial numbers at the back were something like 0003xx7 and 0003xx8
Does that mean that that only around 4000 odd B&W 804s speakers (or 2000 pairs) have been built all over the world till date?

Is there a way to verify the manufacturing date of nautilus speakers? Is there a manufacturing date written on the speakers or can I check the serial numbers in any way or is it somewhere in the manual/documents?
