    RB985 bridgeable?

    I have a Rotel RB985 which produces 5X100W RMS & Cerwin vega CVT12 300W RMS
I'm currently using the 2 front amp channles to power these speakers & they are clearly underpowered (clipping at 1/3 power)

    1. Can the RB985 be bridged to 2X200 + 1X100?
    2. If so, what the correct way to do it?

The 985 is not bridgeable, but there is no way that it will clip at 1/3 power, especially running CV's. There is either a problem with the amp, or with one of the connections. I would check the speaker wires first, to ensure that they are connected properly. The 985 is rated at 5x100, but it has been bench tested at 5x123 watts(1x168watts) in S&V. CV's are very efficient and will not require any additional power.
