    adding turntable to rsx1056

I have a turntable that i would like to use w/the rotel.I know that i would need a phono amp.My question is where would i connect the phono amp to on the rotel.Right now the functions on the remote are pretty used up.I have sat/hdtv to v1,dvd to v2,vcr to v3,playstation to v5, v4 is not being used right now.Would i connect the amp to the v4 function ?Also on the instructions for the remote it says to use the ext function then the v1 function for sacd/dvd-a.I don't have this type of player yet but plan to.When i do get one would i then have to change the functions on the remote again since i presently have the v1 function for the tv, or would i have to swap it out for my present dvd player that i have now.And i am running everything thru the receiver.
    Would appreciate the help.thanks

Use any input you want. You only need left and right analog inputs to connect the table. Why not use "tape"? You could use the remaining video input too (without the video of course). Whatever suits your fancy. It doesn't matter, except that, as you already indicated you put a phono preamp in-between. :T
