    Logic 7 speaker match-up

Due to a recent acquisition for my theater of a pair of Sonus faber Concertinos, I now have a full 7 speaker Sonus faber setup. My issue is this:

The Concertos are slightly better speakers than the Concertinos, at least from the standpoint they have a lower range, and maybe slightly sweeter mids. Though I have not confirmed that.

So, the issue is, which pair goes where? Do I put my best on the rears or the best on the sides? I really don't know from a Lexicon algorithm standpoint which is best. I know at least one member of htguide that probably does (or Buzz) know this.

It's a nice problem to have anyway! Love the seamless soundstage provided by 7 Sonus!

If you are running 7.1 (with Bass management/40 Hz and below) then your best spks should be at the sides with the center set at 120 Hz. If not, then what ever sound best for you. I love matching (full range) all the way around.

Sides are much more important then rears.

Thanks guys. That was really beginning to be my opinion as well about sides being for the best. Will, I am crossing over at 40 Hz. Sonus though 2 way are considered very capable speakers, but there is no point in pushing them to their lowest octaves with the Velex subs. They are much better suited for that task. Sometimes I run my center as full range though and used to the rears some with the Infinity.

          Sonus Faber Concertino HOME
          by Ken McDaniel
I'm a bottom line up-front guy so I'll open with this: It's sinful that these speakers are going to the surround position in my HT. I have about 26 hours of listening with the new Concertinos in the front position. It's safe to say that if there was any breaking in to be done, it's there; but I'll get...

          Why Concertinos?
          by Lexman
Why the hell not? Bob the "Gaffer", my friend from California was here today, and he just had to go to the local audio shop. lol.

I say this because there, lying in the floor alone, in a corner, on the carpet, without "current" was a set of Sonus faber Concertinos...

RB 1090 Too Powerful For Sonus Grand Piano Speakers?
          by ccorum1
A great site! This is my first post, and although I have been interested in stereo gear since the 1960's, my technical knowledge is limited.

I once owned two pair of KLH 9 Electrostatics driven by Marantz Model 9 amps, for those of you old enough to remember when you could get the ultimate...

          Sonus Rotel combo?
          by doodleboytoy
Looking into the possibility of a Rotel 1055 + 1080 amp with Sonus faber speakers combo. Specifically the Sonus Cremona Auditor or Sonus Grand Piano Home.

Anybody used a Sonus/Rotel system here? How is it?

Cannot audition the gear together so I have to ask for your opinions....

          Sonus Faber Toy Series
          by crzycuyler
          Hello,

I have had a crush on Sonus Faber for a while now and need some help. A while back, I demoed the Sonus Faber Toy monitors when I was looking for a bookshelf speaker. I went with B&W 685s and have never stopped thinking about the Sonus Fabers. I feel that I may have made a mistake....
