I've heard they are done but not officially. I heard it through the Industry pipeline. I'm trying to get an official word on the subject.Comment

I'm thinking about returning my UMC-1 and getting a AVR or another processor instead to run as my pre/pro. I'm going to use the $700 I get from returning it to buy something. What should I get instead? I do not have a problem buying used or b-stock.

I was at my friendly neighborhood audio shop returning an amp I had purchase a few days before (jeff rowland model 102...thought it sounded too bright)
After explaining my thoughts to the sales guy he suggested I take a listen to a tube setup...unfortunately he didn't have a full tube... -
