Anyone looking forward to a particular TV series this fall (new or returning)?

I might not get to look at TV programming until summer 2017 (who knew this PhD thing was going to turn into real work? ) but I'm sure at least some of you will take a peek at something before too long? Any returning favourites or interesting debuts on the horizon?

The only thing I watch on regular TV now are sports events and the news. Maybe some episodes of PBS's "antiques Roadshow" but that's it.

All my TV entertainment is coming off DVD's rented from my local library nowadays.

The Big Bang Theory is the only series I watch , unless you count the occasional interesting football game. One of the up sides to being freshly single is all the inane crap I don't have to watch anymore.

I'm curious about this as well. I've set the PVR but have no idea when I'll get around to watching it.

Hmm, thus far, a pretty grim set of expectations about new television programming. Is it really that bad or are we simply not part of the "intended audience"? Inquiring minds want to know.

Minority Report looks decent, funny enough the main character in it was the voice for Handy Manny lol.

I honestly haven't watched any TV but that one show in a long time. I can't stand anything that portends to mimic "real life". I already have real life , with all the attendant problems (and then some). Watching a bunch of millionaires skip through it all and wrap it up in 60 minutes just doesn't appeal to me. Make me laugh or leave me alone is my television philosophy. I suppose access to the internet has given me an alternative too good to miss. Where I used to spend hours a week staring at the one eyed monster now I can actually learn things.

Not that I look down on TV , I'm just catching up on a lot of stuff I missed over the last years.

Game of Thrones - Season 6 is the TV series I am most looking forward to. I hope I am still alive when it is released because it could be years away.

I have really been enjoying the following TV series recently:

• Deutschland 83 - Season 1
• Mr Robot - Season 1
• Humans - Season 1
• True Detective - Season 2
• Wolf Hall - Season 1

As all of these have now finished I am currently watching House of Cards - Season 1, which I missed when it came out, and I am really enjoying it.

I have the following series queued for future viewing. If half of these are as good as the ones above I'll be a happy camper for the next month or two.

• Wayward Pines - Season 1
• Sense8 - Season 1
• House of Cards - Season 2
• House of Cards - Season 3
• UnReal - Season 1
• Hannibal - Season 1 (which I also missed when it was originally released)

In between all these I might do some work or make face-to-face contact with the occasional human being, when I'm not watching a music DVD/Blu-ray of course!

Is "House of cards" only still at season 3 ?? I love that series and have watched all 3 seasons. I want MORE !!!???

Yeah season 3 was this years. Sense8 was REALLY good as well. Netflix seems to be a premium content creator for sure from what I've seen. I also love House of Cards.

We watched the first episode of The Muppets, it was ok.

By the way The Last Ship is quite good as well.

Yeah, I've been watching The Last Ship since it started. Not overwhelming, but pretty good.
