Well, let's se now. Press the ON button to turn your equipment on. Press the OFF button to turn it off. Make sure that the batteries in the remote are fresh, and point the remote towards the equipment. Oh, and BTW, the Parasound C2 remote is an MX-700. (FYI, this is Club Parasound, not club MX-whatever).

Are you using an MX-800 with your Parasound gear? If so, the confusion you're talking about might be that the Parasound version of the MX-700 (like the 800, but without the RF capability) has the On and Off buttons reversed from the original, for whatever reason. Easily controllable or switchable, if desired, with the programming software.

I spent part of the day programming the Rotel RR-1050 and now I'm stuck with a remote that won't give me the on screen display that I was able to view yesterday! So, I recently purchased a rsp 1069 and it came with the new rr 1061 remote. I love the processor and the remote is excellent as well but I have been having an annoying problem with it. When my room is completely dark except for the tv or my projector with a movie on the remote will not function.... -
