C2 using Aux outputs

Hello,

Has anybody used the Aux outputs for a rear surround sub with the C2? There is a recommendation for the settings on page 52 and 53 in the manual.

Yes, we've had many discussions here in the club about using dual subwoofers in different configurations with a C1/C2. I use dual SVS PC-Ultra subs, one from the main output, and one from the programmable (aux) output that duplicates the main sub. So they are true dual subs.

Do both play when using the 7.1 inputs?

Yeah, I saw you asked the same question in the other thread. Well, I was going to listen to some SACD today anyway, (Nickel Creek is first on my list for today) so let me go check.

I went and checked to confirm--yes, the 7.1 outputs to both the main sub and the "programmable" output that doubles the primary sub output. As I mentioned, this is the way that I have my two subs hooked up. (each sub provides half the total volume of bass frequencies) Both of the subs are set to "auto on", where they turn on automatically when they receive a signal. When I started playing the SACD through the C1 7.1 inputs, both subs turned on and output bass. I could also audibly confirm that they were both outputting the C1 subwoofer signal, because otherwise I would be hearing only half of the bass signal if only one sub was working.

Although I didn't test it this time, I'm virtually positive that with very low LFE material, like Chesky's DVD-A demo disc, my Clark Synthesis tactile transducers have also kicked in off their separate C1 programmable channel when playing the 7.1 inputs.

Strange. I could of sworn I read on hear that it does not pass it to the programmable outputs. Awesome though. I run 3 subs so I should be good to go. Thanks for checking.
